Google access disclosure

How AstruHome uses Google Sign-In

AstruHome uses Google Sign-In only to let users create or access an AstruHome account. Normal sign-in does not request YouTube permissions. An optional, separate Connect YouTube action is available for channel analytics, explicit video uploads, and user-approved title or thumbnail updates.

Current Google scopes: openid, profile, and email. These are used for authentication, account creation, and account recovery support.
What we receive

Basic identity information

  • Your Google account identifier
  • Your email address
  • Your basic profile name, when provided by Google
What we do not request at login

No YouTube access during sign-in

  • No YouTube scope is requested during normal login
  • YouTube authorization requires a separate user action and consent screen
  • AstruHome uploads a video only after the connected user explicitly submits it, and it does not delete YouTube videos
User controls

How users can control Google data

  1. Sign in to AstruHome and open Settings.
  2. Use Delete Google sign-in data to remove the connected Google login data stored by AstruHome.
  3. Use Delete account and data to delete the AstruHome account and stored AstruHome data.
  4. Users can also revoke access directly from Google's permissions page.
Limited Use

Google API data commitments

AstruHome does not sell Google user data, does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not use Google API data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Human access is limited to support, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or user-requested help.

Optional YouTube integration

Separate from sign-in

AstruHome requests YouTube permissions only after the user chooses Connect YouTube from the connected-channel page. These permissions are never added to basic Google Sign-In.

This page is intended for users, Google OAuth reviewers, and compliance checks. It explains the Google data used by AstruHome and the controls available to users.
